On 7th June 2018, our Dubai campus hosted Hon. Dr. Eugene Mutimura - Minister of Education of the Republic of Rwanda. Respected guests Dalila Yasmin Amri Sued (Chargee d’affaires of the General Consulate of Republic of Rwanda in Dubai) and Michelle Ntukanyagwe (Director of Policy, Research and Planning, Higher Education Council, Republic of Rwanda) were also part of the SP Jain visit.

On 2^nd June 2018, SP Jain’s Dubai campus held the UAE Top Achievers Awards 2018 in collaboration with The Young Vision to honor the 1^st CBSE topper across the UAE, Raina Lalit Shah, and other top achievers. “It was a pleasure to attend this program, and I would like to sincerely thank SP Jain for honoring me!” said Raina who graduated from The Indian High School Dubai with an outstanding score of 97.4% and received a 100% full scholarship from SP Jain in addition to the 1^st topper trophy and certificate of recognition.

Camel, popularly known as the ‘Ship of the desert’, has been a huge part of the Bedouin culture and a staple in the traditional diet. Over the years, there’s been a rise of Camel Farms & Research Centers in the UAE – with an aim to introduce camel milk to markets and make it accessible to a large number of consumers.

On 31^st May 2018, Global Learning Industry Voices at SP Jain’s Dubai campus invited Mr. Nasif Kayed - also famously known as the ‘Arab Culturalist’, a global entrepreneur with 25 years of experience & over 45 businesses under his wing for an insightful, thought provoking and interactive workshop to understand the Middle Eastern business and cultural etiquette.

Exploring this topic, SP Jain Sydney, along with NSW Business Chamber, hosted the annual HR Summit on 29 May 2018.

On 24^th May 2018, Postgraduate students specialising in Global Finance interacted with Mr. Yogesh Kale - Head of Corporate banking of Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank (ADCB) to discuss an overview of the Banking sector in the UAE, Islamic Banking, Risk Management and career scope in this region among other topics. The session was conducted as part of Global Learning at the SP Jain Dubai campus.

On 24 May 2018, SP Jain’s Singapore campus hosted Mr. Ernesto H. Braam, the Regional Strategic Advisor, Southeast Asia from the Dutch Embassy in Singapore. As part of the Visiting Wisdom series, Mr. Braam shared his insights on the geopolitics and economic situation in Southeast Asia (S.E.A).

The SP Jain Toastmasters Club, Dubai held its 24^th meeting on 19 May 2018, with many new faces, including the budding Toastmasters from the new Batch 42, alongside the more experienced members. With 36 attendees, including Dr Gary Stockport (Dean – Executive MBA), the meet started with the Opening Speech by Attul Sreenath (Student, Executive MBA Batch 39) followed by a Presidential address by Parmita Debnath (Manager – EMBA Program and Quality Assurance) who emphasised the value of commitment.
