On 20^th March 2018, SP Jain’s Dubai campus launched the Centre of Excellence for Happiness. The SP Jain Centre of Excellence for Happiness is a re-imagining of how individuals can best work and live together using core principles from the latest research findings from the Science of Happiness. The key focus areas of the Centre are creating happy communities through strategic academic and corporate partnerships, regional as well as international research, happy events (Conferences, Research Seminars, Workshops, Trainings, as well as providing independent Coaching and Consulting services), and student happiness programs. We envisage that these initiatives will eventually translate into working closely with the Government of UAE & Dubai in as many initiatives as possible, since the Government is keen on promoting Happiness across different sectors and communities.

An outstanding team of our Jaguars, led by Megna Kalvani (Global Learning and Student Life Manager), organised the first ever TEDxSPJAINDUBAI on 17th March 2018.

Themed ‘UNPRECEDENTED’, the event hosted an eclectic and diverse blend of speakers who broke chains of casual conventionality, shattered the grimy pane of old age wisdom and dismantled expectations brick by brick.

SP Jain’s Singapore campus hosted the SP Jain Model United Nations (SPJMUN) Conference 2018 between 16^th to 18^th March. The event was inaugurated by Dr Usen Suleimen (Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan to Singapore) and Mr. Lee Kwang Boon (Deputy President of the United Nations Association of Singapore).

Between 11^th to 14^th Mar, BBA student Rohan Bhatia and his team-mates Ana Júlia de Oliveira (Middlesex University Dubai) and Mishal Paracha (SAE Institute Dubai) participated at the MBC Group Student Hack organised at the Dubai Lynx Festival, winning the competition.

Hansel D’Souza, SP Jain’s Adjunct Faculty, was the Guest speaker for an EMBA Masterclass at the Singapore campus on 14^th March. The Masterclass was titled “Cryptodynamics - The Art of Setting Goals and Achieving Them”.

On 8th March 2018, students at SP Jain Dubai had an opportunity to attend a guest session by Mr. Yi Zang (Vice President, Global Value Brands, Schneider Electric). He shared his personal experiences and tips about brand portfolio management, growing international talent management across the globe, and the importance of diverse work culture at Schneider Electric. He also gave the students tips to keep in mind while applying for a job from the HR’s viewpoint.

On 8^th Mar 2018, Yi Zhang (Vice President - Global Value Brands, Schneider Electric) spoke to our Postgraduate students about the Business overview of his company, Brand Portfolio Management, Latest Technologies and Innovations that competes with companies including Google and Tessa, among others.
