Expo 2020 has been a popular buzzword for a while now. How big is it? Is it really a bigger event than the Oscars when it came to the business world? What is the Expo all about and how is it conducted? These were some of the many questions that boggled the minds of the GMBA and MGB students before SP Jain Dubai’s Global Learning Industry Voices invited Mr. Sajive Kholsa, Vice President of Dubai Expo 2020 to address the PG cohorts, highlight the historical significance of the Global Expos, and answer all their questions.

On 7th June 2018, our Dubai campus hosted Hon. Dr. Eugene Mutimura - Minister of Education of the Republic of Rwanda. Respected guests Dalila Yasmin Amri Sued (Chargee d’affaires of the General Consulate of Republic of Rwanda in Dubai) and Michelle Ntukanyagwe (Director of Policy, Research and Planning, Higher Education Council, Republic of Rwanda) were also part of the SP Jain visit.

On 24^th May 2018, Postgraduate students specialising in Global Finance interacted with Mr. Yogesh Kale - Head of Corporate banking of Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank (ADCB) to discuss an overview of the Banking sector in the UAE, Islamic Banking, Risk Management and career scope in this region among other topics. The session was conducted as part of Global Learning at the SP Jain Dubai campus.

On 24 May 2018, SP Jain’s Singapore campus hosted Mr. Ernesto H. Braam, the Regional Strategic Advisor, Southeast Asia from the Dutch Embassy in Singapore. As part of the Visiting Wisdom series, Mr. Braam shared his insights on the geopolitics and economic situation in Southeast Asia (S.E.A).

SP Jain Singapore campus was very fortunate to have Mr. Paul Bradley, CEO of Caprica International on campus on 5th of April as our Guest Speaker for the “Visiting Wisdom” series. He shared insights on “Dynamic Value Networks Evolving in Asia: Visual Infrastructure, Digitization, and Disruption.”

In a very engaging and interactive guest lecture at the Leadership Hall of SP Jain Singapore, the CEO of DHL e-commerce, Charles Brewer held a session with students on “How E-Commerce Logistics is changing cities” on the 22^nd of February 2018. He discussed how cities of the future will work differently, and at the heart of their success will be the efficiency urban e-commerce. Initiating the session by talking about the current status of the e-commerce industry in different marketplaces, he gave the students a broader understanding of the power of the e-Commerce industry and its associated future potential growth.

SP Jain Singapore students had the opportunity to attend an enlightening guest session by Dr. Kamish Mirza, Head of Supply Chain Management, Asia Pacific region for Ericsson Telecommunications Pte Ltd. on the 15^th of February. The focus of the discussion mainly revolved around how innovation is affecting the supply chain. Talking about the basics of the supply chain, Dr. Mirza also explained Ericsson and its complexity in detail. Moreover, students got a brief understanding of the Internet of Things and supply chain opportunities and challenges.
