2025 Admissions trends: the changing face of higher education

Hybrid Learning Expansion – Online and hybrid education grew, benefiting remote and low-income students. Competency-based learning is expected to expand in 2025.

International Student Mobility – Despite geopolitical challenges, student mobility rebounded. More students are considering alternative destinations like Canada, the UK, Germany, UAE, and Singapore.

Diversity and Mental Health Support – Increased financial aid, outreach, and mental health support through smaller class sizes and wellness initiatives.

Practical Skills and Experiential Learning – Work experience, internships, and industry partnerships became key for career-focused programs like MBAs, a trend set to grow in 2025.
